SSS – Claims

Employer Reimbursement

Employer reimbursement refers to SSS repaying employers for sickness or maternity benefits advanced to employees. Employers must file reimbursement claims with complete documents to receive repayment.

If employers fail to file the sickness notification or reimbursement on time, SSS may deny the claim or reduce the reimbursable amount. This often leads to disputes between employers and employees.

Timely, accurate employer filing ensures that employees receive their full benefits and employers recover the correct amount from SSS.
