SSS – Benefit Processing

Inter-Branch Processing

Inter-branch processing occurs when an SSS branch forwards a claim to another branch or specialized unit for evaluation. This may happen when the member’s records are maintained in a different branch or when the claim requires specialized review.

Inter-branch coordination ensures accurate evaluation but may affect timelines due to additional verification steps. Claims involving inter-branch records, OFW membership, or complex contribution histories are more likely to undergo this process.

Members should monitor claim status regularly and submit additional documents quickly if requested by the receiving branch.
