SSS – Loans

Loan Penalty

A Loan Penalty is an additional charge imposed on overdue loan balances when a borrower fails to pay amortizations on time. Penalties accumulate monthly on top of interest. Even if an employer fails to remit payments, penalties still accrue under the member’s account until the employer corrects the remittance. Penalties significantly increase the total amount owed, making timely payments essential.
