Loan Write-Off

Loan Write-Off is the removal of an unpaid loan from an active account under specific conditions such as permanent disability, death, or retirement age. Although written off, SSS may still deduct the outstanding balance from future benefits unless waived under special provisions. Write-offs help clean up uncollectible accounts while ensuring benefits remain payable to the member or beneficiaries.
