SSS – Benefit Processing

Return for Compliance

A return for compliance (RFC) is a notice issued when SSS requires additional documents, corrections, or clarifications before continuing claim processing. It is not a denial, but a request for the claimant to fix issues in the submission.

Common reasons for RFC include unclear medical certificates, missing signatures, incorrect dates, inconsistent PSA documents, or incomplete forms. SSS provides guidance on what must be corrected to resume processing.

Members should address RFC requirements promptly to avoid delays or claim forfeiture. Clear and accurate documentation increases the likelihood of passing compliance checks.
