SSS – Maternity

Average Daily Salary Credit for Maternity (ADSC)

The Average Daily Salary Credit (ADSC) for maternity benefit is the daily equivalent of the member’s highest six Monthly Salary Credits (MSCs) within the twelve-month period before the semester of childbirth or pregnancy termination. It serves as the foundation for computing the total maternity benefit.

To calculate ADSC, SSS adds the six highest MSCs and divides the total by 180 days. This ensures that maternity benefit amounts reflect the member's actual contribution level. Higher MSC contributions lead to higher ADSC values and therefore higher maternity payouts.

Understanding ADSC helps members anticipate how much maternity benefit they will receive, enabling better financial planning before childbirth or pregnancy-related medical situations.
