SSS – Employee Compensation

Hazardous Work

Hazardous Work refers to occupations that expose employees to increased risk of injury, illness, or death due to environmental or operational hazards. These may include construction, mining, chemical processing, or jobs involving heavy machinery.

Employees in hazardous work environments may have higher likelihood of EC claims. Employers in such industries must comply with stricter safety regulations and are responsible for reporting workplace incidents accurately.

Recognizing hazardous work helps the ECC prioritize safety initiatives and ensures adequate financial protection for high-risk employees.
