Before leaving the overseas job:
- List the skills you can sell in the Philippines or remotely.
- Check realistic pay before depending on it.
- If the expected pay is lower than the number above, combine work with another source.
Use that number as a test—not a promise.
- Who will actually pay for the product or service?
- Can you test demand while you are still abroad or with a smaller amount first?
- Can the business realistically leave the amount above after rent, salaries, supplies and other costs?
- Do not depend on full profit from the first month.
Property only helps this plan if it actually leaves money after regular costs. Test a property you are truly considering instead of using a generic return percentage.
You do not need to enter your total savings. Enter only money you would be comfortable setting aside for this MP2 illustration.
Planning illustration only. It uses a 7.12% annual reference rate and complete five-year periods. Future MP2 dividends can be different. The monthly comparison simply spreads the illustrated amount over 15 years; it is not a lifetime pension.
A mix can be easier than asking one source to replace the full OFW income. Enter only amounts you have a real reason to expect.
Returning soon and setting up your Philippine finances?
A credit card is not retirement income or business capital. But if you are returning soon, have a valid Philippine billing address and meet the bank's requirements, it may be useful for normal spending and payment convenience.

Why we don't ask for your total savings
You do not need to reveal everything you have just to plan your return. The first calculation only needs your expected household spending and estimated SSS pension.
If you later test MP2, enter only the amount you are comfortable setting aside. If you test property, enter only the rent and costs of that property. If you test a business, the planner shows the monthly profit target instead of asking how much money you own.
Not sure whether you should work, start a business or do both?
OWWA reintegration support is designed for returning OFWs and can help with employment, skills and enterprise paths. Use the planner above to understand the number you need to solve, then use official support to explore the path itself.
