• QUALITY OF THE UPLOADED DOCUMENT IS UNREADABLE/BLURRED. PLEASE RE-FILE YOUR MATERNITY CLAIM.

This means SSS could not read the uploaded document clearly because the file or image quality was unreadable or blurred.

Sample wording from SSS email:

Reason/s:

• PLEASE UPLOAD CLEAR AND COLORED COPY OF CHILD'S CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH.

This usually means the uploaded birth certificate was not clear enough, not colored, cropped, incomplete, or unreadable.

Reason/s:

• PLEASE RE-UPLOAD ALL PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED AND ADDITIONAL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS USING PDF CONTINUOUS SCANNING.

SSS wants the previously submitted and additional required documents re-uploaded using PDF continuous scanning.

• YOU HAVE NO/INVALID DATE OF COVERAGE. PLEASE PROCEED TO THE NEAREST SSS BRANCH OFFICE FOR UPDATING/CORRECTION OF YOUR RECORD. REFILE THE CLAIM ONCE THE RECORD IS ALREADY UPDATED.

This is usually a member record issue. SSS may need to update or correct your record first before the maternity claim can be refiled.

Sample wording from SSS email:

Reason/s:

• DENIED DUE TO QUALIFYING CONTRIBUTIONS FOR MATERNITY ARE PAID WITHIN OR AFTER THE SEMESTER OF CONTINGENCY.

This means SSS denied the maternity claim because the qualifying contributions were paid within or after the semester of contingency, instead of being validly posted for the qualifying period before the contingency semester.

Before you refile or ask for help

Fix online first when possible

Read the exact Reason/s in the SSS email.
Prepare the corrected document SSS is asking for.
Use a clear, complete, colored copy if requested.
Use PDF continuous scanning if the email asks for it.

Ask the right person

Employee/Kasambahay: HR or employer may be needed for employer-related messages.
Voluntary, Self-Employed, OFW, NWS, Barangay, Farmer/Fisherfolk: usually check My.SSS or SSS directly.
Go to SSS if the email says branch verification, record correction, interview, or medical evaluation.
