Work-Related SSS Benefit Tool

SSS Employees' Compensation Calculator 2026

Check possible EC benefits for a work-related sickness, injury, disability or death.

EC is separate from Regular SSS. The key first question is whether the sickness, injury, disability or death is work-connected.

1. Worker type

2. Is it work-related?

3. What happened?

4. TTD / EC sickness estimate

Enter the six highest applicable MSCs used for the ADSC computation.

The calculator caps each MSC at ₱20,000 for Regular SS/EC benefit computation.

4. EC pension estimate

This does not appear to be an EC case. EC requires a work-connected sickness, injury, disability or death.
Possible EC exclusion. Compensation is not granted when the contingency resulted from intoxication/drunkenness, willful intent to injure or kill oneself or another, or notorious negligence.
Work connection needs SSS/ECC evaluation. A disease may still qualify if evidence shows the working conditions increased the risk.

Current EC Funeral Benefit
₱30,000.00

This is separate from the Regular SSS Funeral Benefit and applies only to an EC-compensable death.

Possible EC medical / rehabilitation benefit

EC may cover eligible medical expenses, hospitalization, surgery, appliances and rehabilitation.

There is no single flat calculator amount because reimbursement depends on actual eligible expenses, medical records and the applicable reimbursement schedules.

Filing reminder

EC claims generally have a 3-year filing period. Employee notification to the employer is generally required within 5 days unless the contingency happened during working hours, at the workplace, with the employer's knowledge.

What is Employees' Compensation?

The Employees' Compensation Program provides benefits for covered workers and/or their dependents when a sickness, injury, disability or death is work-related.

For private-sector workers, SSS administers the EC claim. EC is separate from the Regular SSS program.

Can Regular SSS and EC both be paid?

For private-sector workers, receiving a Regular SSS benefit does not by itself bar a separate EC benefit when the disability or death is work-related and EC requirements are met.
