How SSS Releases Salary Loans

As of recent updates, the Social Security System (SSS) no longer issues checks for salary loan proceeds. Instead, they use electronic disbursement channels through the Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM).

... Step-by-Step Disbursement Process

  1. Enroll your disbursement account
    Before applying, make sure your bank account, e-wallet, or UMID-ATM is enrolled and approved in the SSS DAEM via your My.SSS account.
  2. Apply for the Salary Loan
    You can submit your application online or through an SSS branch. Online is faster and more efficient.
  3. Loan Approval
    SSS will validate your application and requirements. If everything is in order, approval can take 1 to 5 working days.
  4. Loan Release
    After approval, the funds are transferred electronically to your enrolled account:
    • Bank Account " credited directly
    • e-Wallet (GCash/PayMaya) " credited directly
    • UMID-ATM " funds can be withdrawn via ATM

When Will I Receive the Loan?

Most members receive their loan within 3 to 7 working days after applying, depending on how fast:

  • The disbursement account is verified
  • The loan is processed
  • There are no issues with your application

SSS will notify you via:

  • SMS to your registered mobile number
  • Or you can log in to your My.SSS account and check the loan status under the Inquiry > Loan Info section.
