Maternity Reimbursement

Maternity Reimbursement is the process by which employers recover the full maternity benefit they advanced to an employee. Under SSS rules, employers pay the full amount upfront and later file a reimbursement claim with SSS, provided all documents and requirements are complete.

Employers must submit the Maternity Benefit Reimbursement Application (MBRA) along with supporting documents such as the maternity notification, proof of salary, leave records, and medical or childbirth documents. The reimbursement is credited to the employer’s registered bank account.

Timely submission of documents and accurate reporting help avoid delays. Incorrect computation or incomplete medical records may hinder reimbursement processing, making proper documentation essential.
