SSS Contribution Checker Guide

How to Check Your SSS Contributions Online

Check whether your monthly SSS contributions are actually posted, identify missing months, and verify which contributions can matter for your maternity benefit.

Quick answer

Check the monthly contribution record inside My.SSS or the MySSS mobile app.

The official MySSS app allows members to view their monthly contributions. You can also log in to the My.SSS web portal and review your member contribution/payment records.

If you are checking for SSS maternity benefit, do not look only at the latest payment. Check the individual months inside your correct maternity qualifying period.

How to check SSS contributions online

1

Log in to My.SSS

Use your registered My.SSS account. You can use either the web portal or the current MySSS mobile app.

Open My.SSS
2

Open your contribution or payment record

In the mobile app, use the monthly-contribution view. On the web portal, open the member inquiry/payment area that shows your contribution history. Menu labels can change, so focus on the contribution record rather than a specific old menu name.

3

Check month by month

Look for the applicable month and confirm that a contribution amount is actually reflected in the SSS record.

4

For maternity, compare only the correct qualifying months

Do not assume every recent payment will count. Use the actual maternity contingency date to determine the correct qualifying period first.

What does “posted contribution” mean?

A contribution is useful for checking your SSS record when it is reflected in the official member contribution history for the applicable month.

This is especially important for employees because there are three different things that can be confused:

What you see What it means
SSS deduction on payslip Your employer deducted an employee contribution amount from payroll.
Employer remittance/payment The employer sends the required contribution information and payment to SSS.
Posted in your SSS record The monthly contribution is reflected in your official SSS member contribution history.

A payslip deduction alone does not prove that the contribution is already reflected in your SSS record. Check My.SSS to confirm.

Which contributions should I check for SSS maternity benefit?

For maternity benefit purposes, the important question is not simply “How many total contributions do I have?”

You need to identify the correct 12-month qualifying period based on the actual date of childbirth, miscarriage, or emergency termination of pregnancy, then check the monthly contributions inside that period.

You generally need at least three monthly contributions within the applicable qualifying period to meet the contribution requirement for SSS maternity benefit.

Example of the correct workflow

  1. Enter the actual or expected maternity date in the Qualifying Period Checker.
  2. Write down the 12 months shown by the checker.
  3. Open My.SSS and inspect those months one by one.
  4. Use the posted amounts inside that period for your maternity eligibility/computation check.

What if a contribution is missing?

The next step depends on your member type and who was responsible for the payment.

If you are employed and SSS was deducted from your payslip

Keep the payslip showing the deduction and ask your employer or payroll/HR team to verify the remittance and the applicable month.

If the contribution remains missing, follow up with SSS and keep copies of your payslips, employment details, and any written response from the employer.

Do not automatically pay the missing employee month as a Voluntary member just to fill the gap. First verify whether the employer was responsible for that contribution and what correction is required.

If you are Voluntary, Self-Employed, NWS, or an individual-paying OFW

Check your PRN, payment receipt, applicable period, and the corresponding contribution entry in My.SSS. SSS uses PRN-based electronic contribution processing to facilitate real-time validation and posting of payments.

If you have proof of successful payment but the contribution still does not appear correctly, contact SSS and provide the PRN/payment details.

How to Correct an SSS Contribution Record

How fast should a PRN contribution appear?

SSS implemented its electronic contribution collection system to support real-time processing and posting of contribution payments using PRNs.

That means a properly processed payment is designed to be validated and transmitted electronically into the contribution system. However, if you do not see the expected month or amount, do not make a second payment blindly. Verify the PRN, receipt, applicable month, and transaction first.

Duplicate or incorrectly applied payments can create another record problem instead of solving the first one.

How to get proof of your SSS contributions

If you need proof for your own maternity-benefit checking, start from the official contribution record visible in your My.SSS account.

Depending on the device and current My.SSS interface, you may be able to save, print, or capture the contribution history shown on screen. Keep the record together with any PRN receipts or payslips relevant to the months you are checking.

For a maternity claim check, save these together

  • Your contribution history for the qualifying months
  • Your qualifying-period result
  • PRN/payment receipts for individually paid contributions, if applicable
  • Payslips if an employer contribution appears to be missing

This page now covers the old “proof of contributions” intent so you do not need a separate thin page just for printing or saving the same SSS record.

Can I check SSS contributions by text?

Yes. SSS still publishes a Text-SSS contribution inquiry command.

Text-SSS contribution inquiry

SSS CONTRIB <SSNumber> <PIN>

Send to 2600.

Text-SSS can be useful as a secondary check, but for maternity planning I recommend My.SSS or the MySSS app because you need to review the contribution record month by month.

Common mistakes when checking contributions

Looking only at total number of contributions

Maternity qualification depends on contributions inside the correct qualifying period, not your lifetime total.

Assuming a payslip deduction is already posted

Confirm the month in your official My.SSS record.

Checking only your latest payment

The latest month may be outside the maternity qualifying period.

Paying again without checking the PRN

Verify whether the first payment was applied incorrectly before making another payment.

Frequently asked questions

Log in to My.SSS or open the MySSS mobile app and review your monthly contribution record. The official MySSS app specifically supports viewing monthly contributions.

Not necessarily. The deduction shows what was taken from payroll, but you should still verify that the applicable contribution appears in your official SSS contribution history.

Keep your payslips, ask the employer or payroll office to verify the remittance, and follow up with SSS if the contribution remains missing. Do not automatically pay the employed month as a voluntary contribution just to fill the gap.

Check the contributions inside the correct 12-month maternity qualifying period based on the actual delivery, miscarriage, or emergency termination of pregnancy date. Do not rely only on your latest contribution.

Yes. Registered Text-SSS users may send SSS CONTRIB followed by their SS number and PIN to 2600, subject to the current Text-SSS service rules and network charges.

Open the official contribution history in My.SSS and use the save, print, or screenshot options available on your device or current interface. For maternity checking, keep the contribution record together with your qualifying-period result and any relevant payment receipts or payslips.
