Question from JACKZ
Jun 25, 2026

EDD ko po is October 2026 at ang last month na qualifaying period ko is JUNE 2026 Kapay si employer nag remit ng Contribution ng JUNE 2026 sa JULY 2026 makakapasok ba sya sa aking maternity benefits hindi ba sya ma tatag na late filling? Thank you po sa sagot.

Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team Answered Jun 25, 2026

Makakapasok pa po ang June 2026 basta on-time usually kung ang last month ng qualifying period mo is June, Dapat ma pay din xa on or before end of June. 😊

For October 2026 EDD, ang qualifying period mo is July 2025 to June 2026. Basta ma bayaran po xa on or before end of june.To be safe, check your My.SSS contribution record or ask HR for proof of remittance.

Can i claim the first pay of maternity leave?

Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team Answered Oct 22, 2026

Yes po, as an **Employee**, coordinate po kayo with your **HR/Employer** regarding your maternity leave payment.

Normally, hindi po kayo directly nagke-claim ng “first pay” from SSS. **Employer ang mag-a-advance ng maternity benefit**, then si employer ang magre-request ng reimbursement from SSS.

Pwede pong magkaroon ng **prenatal portion** ng maternity leave before delivery, pero continuous dapat ang maternity leave, and at least **60 days should remain after childbirth**.

So if **December 2026 ang EDD** ninyo, talk to HR now and ask:

• Kailan ninyo puwedeng i-start ang maternity leave
• Kailan nila kailangan ang maternity leave application
• Kailan nila ire-release ang maternity benefit/full maternity pay

If nakapag-Maternity Notification/MAT-1 na po kayo, make sure aware din ang HR at reflected sa records nila.

Question from jas
Oct 17, 2026

if i already notify SSS for maternity benefits and it remarks as submitted, what should i do next? i can't click the "apply" bottom for maternity benefits.

Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team Answered Oct 17, 2026

If **SUBMITTED** na po ang Maternity Notification ninyo sa My.SSS, okay na po ang MAT-1 notification side. ✅

So for now:

1. Inform HR na **submitted na ang MAT-1**
2. Send/show screenshot ng status
3. Ask HR ano ang internal requirements nila
4. After delivery, submit the required birth documents to HR
5. HR will process the maternity benefit claim with SSS

Yung **Apply button** sa My.SSS, huwag po muna kayong mag-worry dahil employee kayo and normally employer/HR ang magpa-process ng next step.

ask ko lang Po paano Po kung 6 month Po Ang pi nile ko na leave

Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team Answered Oct 15, 2026

Pwede naman po kayong mag-leave ng **6 months** kung approved ng employer/company ninyo, pero hindi po buong 6 months ang covered ng SSS Maternity Benefit.

For live childbirth:

✅ **105 days** — paid maternity leave
✅ **120 days** — if qualified Solo Parent
✅ May option din na **additional 30 days leave without pay**

Kung gusto ninyo pong umabot ng **6 months**, yung remaining days beyond the maternity leave entitlement would normally depend na po sa **company policy and approval** — halimbawa vacation leave, other available leave credits, or leave without pay.

Hindi rin po lalaki ang SSS maternity benefit dahil 6 months ang pinili ninyong leave. The SSS benefit is still computed based on your qualifying contributions and applicable maternity leave days.
