How the research data is created
Research data comes from completed SSS maternity benefit calculator simulations on this website. Public research presents findings only in aggregate and uses broad sample milestones rather than exposing the size or growth of the underlying private database.
Primary visitor-level unit: the default research cohort uses one quality-filtered first simulation per anonymous session. This prevents a visitor who tests several scenarios from having several times the weight of a visitor who calculates once.
Scenario research
Multiple calculations are analyzed separately when useful
All valid simulations may be used when studying scenario-testing behavior. A session that tests several contribution or Monthly Salary Credit combinations is useful behavior data, but those simulations are not treated as separate people.
Month-level observations: detailed simulations include qualifying-month observations so aggregate research can study contribution counts and patterns. Individual month rows are never exposed publicly.
Quality controls
Research records are checked before analysis
The logger checks detailed month-row completeness and independently recomputes eligible benefit estimates on the server. Records with technical consistency issues can be marked for review, while conservative session-quality flags can identify unusual automated-looking activity without automatically deleting legitimate scenario testing.
Privacy & protected data
The underlying research dataset remains private
The research tables do not store a user's name, email address, SSS/CRN number, phone number, address, question text, or raw IP address.
Public pages expose aggregate findings only. Raw calculations, row-level qualifying-month observations, anonymous session tokens, and admin research exports are not offered as a public dataset download.
Public disclosure
Sample sizes are intentionally broad on current research pages
Public research uses broad sample milestones instead of exact ongoing database totals. Findings may be refreshed in batches as the research base grows. Exact sample sizes may be stated in separately published fixed research reports when needed to describe a defined analysis cohort.
Benefit amounts: figures are calculator estimates derived from user-entered information and the calculator's applicable computation rules. Public research uses wording such as “estimated benefit” rather than “benefit received.”
Interpretation limits
What these findings do — and do not — represent
Research note: Public findings use aggregated anonymous calculator activity. The underlying row-level research dataset remains private. These findings are not official SSS claims, approvals, payouts, or national statistics.
