Mommy, kung employee ka pa ngayon, hindi mo basta papalitan to self-employed para ikaw ang maghulog. Employer pa rin dapat ang mag-remit ng SSS mo habang employed ka.
Kung resigned/separated ka na or may sarili kang income/business/freelance, pwede ka mag-update to Self-Employed by submitting SSS Member Data Change Request / E-4. Sa SSS E-4, “To Self-Employed” has no required documents listed. Then gumawa ka ng PRN and pay your contribution.
Important: for maternity, only paid/posted contributions within your qualifying period and paid on time ang counted.

Kung EDD mo ay February 2027, ang qualifying period mo is October 2025 to September 2026, kaya counted ang April at May 2026.
Since voluntary ka, gumawa agad ng PRN sa My.SSS. Mas safe kung bayaran mo as April–June 2026 quarter habang June pa. SSS allows self-employed/voluntary members to pay through PRN, monthly or quarterly.

Hi mommy, hindi po counted ang July 2026 for October 2026 EDD.

For October EDD, ang qualifying period is July 2025 to June 2026. So kung ang hinulugan mo kanina ay July 2026, hindi na siya kasama sa maternity computation kasi nasa semester na siya ng panganganak. SSS says the 3 qualifying contributions must be in the 12-month period before the semester of childbirth, and not paid on/after the semester of contingency.

Qualified ka pa rin kung may at least 3 posted contributions ka from July 2025 to June 2026. Kung wala, hindi makakatulong yung July 2026 payment for this maternity claim.

Kailangan malaman ang EDD / actual delivery month at magkano ang monthly contribution or MSC mo. Hindi sapat yung months lang.

SSS maternity is based sa 6 highest posted contributions/MSC within your qualifying period. Kung maximum ang 6 highest months, possible up to ₱70,000 for normal/CS delivery.

For EDD March 2027, mommy, ang qualifying period mo is October 2025 to September 2026.
Kung may hulog ka na from October 2025 to January 2026 under employer, counted po iyon basta posted sa SSS.
Para makuha ang maximum ₱70k, kailangan may 6 highest months na nasa max MSC. Kung max ang hulog mo sa dati mong employer for Oct–Jan, 2 months na lang ang need mo hulugan at max.
Pero kung hindi max yung dati mong hulog, mas safe maghulog ka ng ₱3,000/month as voluntary from April to September 2026 kung kaya, para may 6 max months ka within qualifying period.(if quarterly payment ka generate ka 1prn for April – June then pay mo xa on or before end of July or as early as possible then yung July to Sept Quarterly payment pay mo xa on or before end of Sept.)

Hindi na po usually madadagdagan ang January–March 2026 kung paid/posted na at tapos na ang deadline, mommy. Ang posted amount/MSC na ang gagamitin ni SSS.

Pero kung EDD mo ay Jan–Mar 2027, counted pa rin ang April–September 2026. Pwede mong gawing mataas/max ang hulog mo sa April–Sept 2026 para may 6 high months ka at possible pa rin umabot sa ₱70k, basta paid on time at posted. SSS allows VM/SE members to change MSC, but late/retroactive payments are not allowed for missed months. (if quarterly payment ka generate ka 1prn for April – June then pay mo xa on or before end of July or as early as possible then yung July to Sept Quarterly payment pay mo xa on or before end of Sept.)

For MAT-2 / maternity benefit claim na Stillbirth or Fetal Death, usually kailangan mommy:
Maternity Benefit Application / MAT-2
Valid ID
Certificate of Fetal Death
If filing within 6 months from delivery: LCR-registered Certificate of Fetal Death + OR/AR
If beyond 6 months: PSA Certificate of Fetal Death + OR/AR
If employed: check with HR, kasi employer usually mag-aasikaso/reimburse.
If separated/voluntary: possible kailangan din ng Certificate of Separation / no advance payment, depende sa case.
Stillbirth/Fetal Death is treated like childbirth benefit, so usually 105 days ang maternity benefit if qualified. SSS lists “Stillbirth/Fetal Death” as a delivery type and requires a Certificate of Fetal Death for this case.

Ang qualifying period mo is July 2025 to June 2026.
Pero kung ngayon ka pa lang magbabayad:

January–March 2026: likely late na, baka hindi na tanggapin.

April–June 2026: possible pa, especially kung voluntary/SE ka at makagawa ka ng PRN for the quarter.

Para sa maternity, need at least 3 posted contributions within the qualifying period. SSS also says late/retroactive payments to fill gaps are not allowed for SE/VM-type payments.

For EDD September 2026, ang qualifying period is April 2025 to March 2026.
So sa hulog mo, January–March 2026 lang ang counted. Yung April 2026 and May onwards, hindi na counted for September EDD kasi nasa semester of contingency na siya. SSS excludes the semester of contingency, then counts 12 months backward.
Kung ₱1,275 total contribution per month ang Jan–Mar 2026, estimate mo is around:
₱14,875 for 105 days normal/CS delivery.
Kung ₱1,275 is employee share sa payslip, iba ang estimate at mas mataas. Best i-check mo yung posted MSC/contribution sa SSS account.
