Voluntary MAT-1 EDD: December 2026

EDD ko is December 2026. Nag-resign ako ng June and filed the MAT 1 pero hindi ko pa napalitan and membership status ko to voluntary and also 2 ang na-file kong notification accidentally (but same EDD so it's like duplicated) because the the first filing was on June but i didn't get an email ( I thought dapat may matanggap akong email pero hindi pala kailangan since maternity notification palang ito) and I later on filed another on July. Will this affect the process of my maternity benefit?

Hi mommy šŸ˜Š Hindi naman po usually maaapektuhan ang MatBen mo dahil lang may duplicate MAT-1 with the same EDD. Ang importante, may proof ka na nakapag-file ka before delivery, kaya save mo ang screenshot/reference number ng June and July filing.

Kung December 2026 ang actual delivery mo, ang qualifying period mo ay July 2025ā€“June 2026. Since nag-resign ka ng June, counted pa rin ang employer contributions mo basta paid and posted. Ang July onwards na hulog ay hindi na kasama sa Dec 2026 MatBen computation.

Dahil separated ka before delivery, ikaw na usually ang mag-file ng MAT-2 / Maternity Benefit Application after manganak. Possible hingin ng SSS ang Certificate of Separation with separation date and certification na wala kang natanggap na advance maternity payment.

Best step mommy: ipa-verify sa SSS branch kung alin sa dalawang MAT-1 ang active, para hindi magka-conflict sa filing. Huwag na muna mag-file ulit.

Last QP month: June 2026 ā€” qualifying payments should be made on or before end of June 2026.

Hi mommy šŸ˜Š If ang actual ectopic pregnancy/termination date mo ay July 20, 2020, ang qualifying period mo ay April 2019ā€“March 2020.

So sa contributions na sinabi mo:

January 2020 āœ… counted
February 2020 āœ… counted
March 2020 āœ… counted
Aprilā€“June 2020 āŒ hindi na kasama sa qualifying period

If valid at properly paid ang Januaryā€“March 2020, mayroon kang required 3 qualifying contributions, so possible kang qualified for SSS maternity benefit for 60 days dahil covered ang ectopic pregnancy under miscarriage/ETP benefits.

Good news din mommy: SSS maternity claims may be filed within 10 years from the date of miscarriage/ETP, so kung July 20, 2020 ang actual date, possible pa ring mag-file ngayon subject to SSS validation and complete medical documents.

Possible po ba na ako na lang mag file ng MAT1 kesa si employer?

Hi mommy šŸ˜Š Kung currently employed ka, employer/HR po talaga ang dapat mag-file/transmit ng MAT-1 sa SSS. Ikaw muna ang mag-notify sa employer tungkol sa pregnancy at EDD, then sila ang mag-submit through their Employer My.SSS account.

Ang direct online MAT-1 filing sa member account ay para sa Voluntary, Self-Employed, OFW, at Non-Working Spouse members.

So kung Employee ka pa, mas safe na dumaan sa HR/employer para tama ang record at walang issue later sa MatBen claim. šŸ˜Š

Hi mommy šŸ˜Š Yes po, qualified ka based sa contributions na sinabi mo, provided valid at posted lahat sa My.SSS.

For EDD January 8, 2027, ang qualifying period mo ay October 2025ā€“September 2026.

Yung hulog mo na Februaryā€“September 2026 āœ… counted lahat, so mayroon kang 8 qualifying months. Lampas na ito sa minimum na 3 monthly contributions needed to qualify for SSS maternity benefit.

Ang exact amount ng MatBen mo will depend sa 6 highest MSCs within that qualifying period.
