Hello. Nag resign ako sa work ko ng May 31 this year and nagstart ako mag voluntary ng June. Paano magiging computation nito sa Maternity benefit ko? And tama ba na half na lang previous na contributions ko ung mag reflect sa May 2026, (ex. 3000 ung mga previous months, naging 1500 na lang ng May since un na din last month ko sa company).

Hi mommy 😊 Yes, pagsasamahin ni SSS ang employed contributions mo before resignation and voluntary contributions mo after resignation, basta paid and posted sila at pasok sa qualifying period ng EDD/actual delivery mo.

Hindi po automatic na “half” ang May contribution dahil last month mo sa company. Kung full May ka nagwork/paid until May 31, dapat based pa rin sa actual May salary/MSC ang remittance. Pero kung partial salary lang ang nakuha mo for May, possible na mas mababa talaga ang May MSC/contribution.

Best step mommy: ask HR for the May 2026 SSS contribution breakdown. Kung mali ang remittance, sila dapat mag-correct/remit. For June onward, okay ang Voluntary hulog mo basta hindi ka na employed and paid on time.

Hindi pa ma-check ang exact computation without your EDD or actual delivery date, kasi doon malalaman ang qualifying period. SSS uses the 6 highest MSCs within the qualifying period.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD May 2027, ang qualifying period mo ay January–December 2026, so July 2026 ✅ counted sa MatBen computation.

Kung Voluntary/NWS member ka, puwede pa ang July contribution as part of the July–September quarter, payable on or before end of September 2026 this is for Matben Due date pero normaly sa SSS contribution kapag nag Generate ka ng PRN ang lalabas na Due date is on or before end of October. Kung Matben claim ka Mommy make sure mahulugan mo yan on or before end of September or as early as possible bago matapos ang last month ng Qualifying Period mo.

Kung Self-Employed ang membership type mo, sabihin mo lang mommy dahil iba ang current payment deadline rule natin iche-check.

EDD of ectopic pregnancy July 20,2020 tapos may hulog ako january hanggang june 2020

Hi mommy 😊 If ang actual ectopic pregnancy/termination date mo ay July 20, 2020, ang qualifying period mo ay April 2019–March 2020.

So sa contributions na sinabi mo:

January 2020 ✅ counted
February 2020 ✅ counted
March 2020 ✅ counted
April–June 2020 ❌ hindi na kasama sa qualifying period

If valid at properly paid ang January–March 2020, mayroon kang required 3 qualifying contributions, so possible kang qualified for SSS maternity benefit for 60 days dahil covered ang ectopic pregnancy under miscarriage/ETP benefits.

Good news din mommy: SSS maternity claims may be filed within 10 years from the date of miscarriage/ETP, so kung July 20, 2020 ang actual date, possible pa ring mag-file ngayon subject to SSS validation and complete medical documents.

EDD ko November 22, 2026 private employed kailan ko po makukuha yung maternity benefits ko

Hi mommy 😊 Since private employed ka, employer mo ang mag-a-advance ng SSS maternity benefit.

For EDD November 22, 2026, ang qualifying period mo ay July 2025–June 2026. If qualified ka based sa contributions mo, ang full maternity benefit should be advanced by the employer within 30 days from the filing of your maternity leave application.

So hindi po automatic na after November 22 mo pa makukuha. Ang timing depends sa date na officially na-file mo ang maternity leave application sa employer/HR.

You can ask HR:
“Kailan po considered filed ang maternity leave application ko, and kailan po target release ng advance MatBen?”
