OFW - Land-based General Question EDD: November 2026
Question from Charby
Aug 25, 2026

Hello. EDD ko po is Nov 13, 2026. Wala po ako hulog simula January 2025 up to December 2025 since OFW po ako. Naghulog lang po ako nung January 2026 up to December 2026 pinag isa ko na po 1200 per month po. And naka OFW po ako.

Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team Answered Aug 25, 2026

Mommy, for EDD Nov. 13, 2026, ang qualifying period mo is July 2025 to June 2026.

SSS says missed months become gaps and retroactive payment is not allowed for voluntary members.

Sa hulog mo na January 2026 to December 2026:

Counted sa Nov 2026 claim: January to June 2026 only
Hindi counted: July to December 2026

Pero important mommy: kung ang January to June 2026 ay binayaran mo lang July 2026 or later, may risk na hindi siya i-count ni SSS for this maternity claim. SSS says retroactive OFW payments may not be used for benefit eligibility if paid within/after the excluded period for the claim.

About status: kung hindi ka na OFW ngayon, pwede ka magbayad as Voluntary member moving forward. SSS says choosing “Voluntary” in PRN means declaration na ceased ka na as EE/SE/OFW for that period.

Estimate kung valid counted ang Jan–June 2026 at ₱1,200/month contribution: possible around ₱28,000 for 105 days, not ₱70,000.

Since ₱1,200/month contribution is around ₱8,000 MSC only, hindi siya aabot sa max.

EDD KO PO MAY 2027 PWEDE KOPA BA BAYARAN UNG JULY 2026 NGYONG SEPTEMBER 2026 PO

Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team Answered Sep 12, 2026

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD May 2027, ang qualifying period mo ay January–December 2026, so July 2026 ✅ counted sa MatBen computation.

Kung Voluntary/NWS member ka, puwede pa ang July contribution as part of the July–September quarter, payable on or before end of September 2026 this is for Matben Due date pero normaly sa SSS contribution kapag nag Generate ka ng PRN ang lalabas na Due date is on or before end of October. Kung Matben claim ka Mommy make sure mahulugan mo yan on or before end of September or as early as possible bago matapos ang last month ng Qualifying Period mo.

Question

General Question EDD: November 2026
Question from Mommy
Sep 6, 2026

Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team Answered Sep 7, 2026

If qualified ka based sa contributions mo, ang full maternity benefit should be advanced by the employer within 30 days from the filing of your maternity leave application.

You can ask HR:

Question

Voluntary General Question EDD: January 2027
Question from Cya
Aug 25, 2026

Based on mu ultrasound my due date is January 2027. Pero dahil CS ako possible ako manganak by December 2026. Makukuha ko pa din ba yung highest benefit na 70,000 since 3k monthly hulog ko from April 2026-September 2026. Or need ko pa hulugan?

Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team Answered Aug 26, 2026

Hi mommy 😊 Since EDD mo is January 2027, ang qualifying period mo ay October 2025–September 2026. Since 6 months iyon at equivalent sa ₱20,000 MSC, possible ang maximum ₱70,000 MatBen for 105 days.
