Unfortunately, I had an inevitable miscarriage last August 23, 2026 Sunday at 5am at Cebu Velez General Hospital due to severe vaginal bleeding. Before this happened, I had already filed for sss maternity notification. How to apply for a miscarriage online?
Hi mommy, I’m sorry you went through this. 💛 Since the actual miscarriage date was August 23, 2026 and nakapag-file ka na ng Maternity Notification, puwede ka nang mag-file ng Maternity Benefit Application for miscarriage once complete ang medical documents mo. SSS provides 60 days of maternity benefit for miscarriage, provided qualified ka based on contributions.
If Voluntary / Self-Employed / OFW / NWS / separated from employment, gawin ito online:
Log in sa My.SSS
Go to Benefits → Apply for Maternity Benefit
Enter August 23, 2026 as the miscarriage date.
Upload your supporting documents.
Submit the application. Make sure may approved DAEM/disbursement account ka.
For miscarriage, prepare:
Proof of pregnancy — ultrasound, Beta HCG/blood pregnancy test, or physician-signed pregnancy test
Proof of miscarriage — ultrasound, histopathology, Operating Room Record, or other accepted physician-signed proof
Medical Certificate, Clinical Abstract/Discharge Summary, or Record of Consultation signed by your doctor.
Since nangyari sa Cebu Velez General Hospital, magandang kunin mo ang Clinical Abstract/Discharge Summary and ultrasound/medical records bago mag-file.
Your qualifying period for the August 23, 2026 miscarriage is April 2025–March 2026. If may at least 3 valid contributions ka within that period, possible kang qualified for the 60-day MatBen.
If currently employed ka, sabihin mo sa HR/employer dahil employer ang magpo-process/advance ng maternity benefit rather than ikaw ang direct individual claimant.
