OFW - Sea-based General Question EDD: February 2027

I am a Seafarer contractual based employee, during our vacation time, out employer is not paying our sss contribution, therefore I have few months lapses. Will I be able to pay those missing contributions in Oct. 2025 and April 2026? Please advise. Thank you~

Hi po 😊 Since Sea-Based OFW/Seafarer kayo, ang manning agency is treated as your employer and sila ang responsible sa SSS contributions during the months you are under employment/contract. Social Security System
For the missing October 2025 and April 2026:
– If under active contract/employment kayo during those months, ask your manning agency/HR to check and correct/remit the missing contributions.
– If vacation/off-contract na kayo during those months, puwede sana kayong nag-continue as Voluntary at that time. Pero ngayong past due na, hindi na puwedeng bayaran retroactively as Voluntary just to fill those gaps. Social Security System
So hindi po advisable na basta mag-generate ngayon ng Voluntary PRN for October 2025 or April 2026. First check whether those months were covered by an active seafarer contract.
If this is for maternity benefit, send me your EDD/actual delivery date, and I can check whether October 2025 and April 2026 are even needed for your qualifying period.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD October 27, 2027, ang qualifying period mo ay July 2026–June 2027. Kailangan may at least 3 valid monthly contributions within that period para maka-qualify sa SSS MatBen. Social Security System
Kung live childbirth, ang exact amount depends sa 6 highest MSCs mo within July 2026–June 2027. If may 6 months at ₱20,000 MSC, possible ang maximum na around ₱70,000 for 105 days. Social Security System

Halimbawa po ang Computation ko sa salary differential ay ito:
Full Pay : 45,879.40 (22939.70 mos rate x 2 months)
Less contribution: 3,846.98 (SSS;PH;HDMF - FOR 2 months)

At ang inapprove lang po Ni SSS ay 40,000.00, magkano po ang total na makukuha ni employee na MAT leave benefits bawas na yung contribution nya habang naka-leave?

Hi mommy 😊 Based sa figures mo:
Full Pay: ₱45,879.40
Less employee contributions: ₱3,846.98
Net full pay: ₱42,032.42
Since ₱40,000 ang approved SSS maternity benefit:
₱42,032.42 − ₱40,000 = ₱2,032.42 salary differential
So estimated total na matatanggap ni employee:
SSS MatBen: ₱40,000
Salary Differential: ₱2,032.42
Total net benefit: ₱42,032.42 ✅
Assuming tama na ang ₱3,846.98 na SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG employee-share deductions at wala nang ibang applicable adjustment. The employer pays the difference between the employee’s full salary and the SSS maternity benefit.

Hi mommy 😊 Para ma-compute natin kung magkano ang possible SSS Maternity Benefit mo, kailangan ko lang itong details:
– EDD or actual delivery date
– Member type: Employee / Voluntary / Self-Employed / OFW / NWS
– Months na may posted SSS contribution
– Contribution amount per month
– If live birth: 105 days, or 120 days if qualified solo parent; miscarriage/ETP is 60 days
SSS uses the 6 highest MSCs within your qualifying period to compute the benefit.
