Confinement Period

The Confinement Period refers to the entire timeframe during which a member is medically certified as unable to work, whether at home or in a hospital. Documentation such as hospital records, diagnostic results, and medical certificates must support the period claimed. SSS uses this period to evaluate compensable days and verify the validity of the illness.
