SSS – Sickness

Sickness Benefit

The Sickness Benefit is a daily cash allowance granted to SSS members who cannot work due to illness or injury for at least four consecutive days. It is available to employed, voluntary, self-employed, and OFW members, whether confined at home or in a hospital. To qualify, the member must have at least three posted contributions within the 12-month period before the semester of sickness and must exhaust all company sick leave with pay (for employed members). The benefit amount is based on the member’s Average Daily Salary Credit (ADSC) and is paid for up to 120 days per year.
