SSS – Contributions

Voluntary Contribution

Voluntary contributions are payments made by members who are no longer under compulsory coverage, such as former employees, homemakers, or freelancers who want to maintain active SSS membership.

Voluntary members choose their Monthly Salary Credit (MSC) but must follow SSS rules regarding minimum and maximum income brackets. Regular payment is essential because missing contributions may affect eligibility for short-term benefits.

Voluntary contributions keep a member’s record active, protect qualifying periods, and help build the foundation for retirement, disability, and sickness benefits.
