Goodday po. Yes po, **may maternity benefit/pay pa rin kahit miscarriage**. Under the Expanded Maternity Leave Law, qualified employees are entitled to **60 days maternity leave with full pay** for miscarriage or emergency termination of pregnancy.

Since **Employee** po kayo, normally **employer/HR ang mag-a-advance ng SSS maternity benefit**, then sila ang magre-request ng reimbursement from SSS. If applicable, employer also pays the **salary differential** so that you receive full pay, unless exempt ang employer.

Hindi po ito additional regular salary on top of maternity pay. During your 60-day maternity leave, **maternity full pay ang matatanggap ninyo**, subject to SSS eligibility and your employer’s payroll processing.

If **October 2026 ang miscarriage**, SSS will also check whether you have at least **3 valid contributions within the applicable qualifying period**.

Hello po 😊 Since **April 2027 ang EDD** ninyo at **Voluntary member** na po kayo, ang qualifying period ninyo is **January–December 2026**.

So yes po, **possible pa kayong maka-qualify** as long as makabuo kayo ng at least **3 valid monthly contributions** within 2026.

Since September 18, 2026 kayo nagsimula:

✅ **September 2026** — puwedeng ma-count if na-POST sa My.SSS **on or before October 31, 2026**
✅ **October–December 2026** — puwede pang ma-count, but make sure na **POSTED na lahat on or before December 31, 2026**

Important po: huwag hintayin ang January 2027 para bayaran/post ang Oct–Dec contributions, because **January–June 2027 is already your contingency period**. Kapag January na na-post, late na iyon for this maternity claim.

So kahit hindi ma-count ang September, puwede pa rin kayong magkaroon ng **3 qualifying months through October, November, and December 2026**, basta properly paid and posted before December 31.

Always check the **actual posting date sa My.SSS**, hindi lang payment date.

For **May 2027 EDD** at **Voluntary member** po, ang qualifying period ninyo is **January–December 2026**.

So hindi na po kasama ang **January 2027 onwards**, because **January–June 2027** na ang contingency period.

Pero may pwede pa po kayong habulin ngayon:

✅ **July–September 2026 (3rd quarter)** — puwede pa pong bayaran lahat ng 3 months, basta **posted sa My.SSS on or before October 31, 2026**.

Since may processing time minsan, mas safe po na bayaran **a few days before October 31** para may allowance sa posting.

✅ **October–December 2026 (4th quarter)** — puwede rin pong hulugan, pero for this maternity claim kailangan **posted na on or before December 31, 2026**.

Important po: huwag hintayin ang regular quarterly deadline sa January, because **January 2027 is already within the contingency period**. Kapag January na na-post, considered **late na for this maternity benefit**.

So ang magandang gawin po:
– Complete **July–September** before October 31
– Complete **October–December** and make sure posted before December 31
– Always check the **actual posting date sa My.SSS**, hindi lang payment date

SSS will use the **6 highest MSC** within January–December 2026 for the maternity computation.
