SSS – Benefit Computation

Benefit Floor

The benefit floor refers to the minimum amount SSS will pay for a benefit claim regardless of the member’s contribution history. This ensures that even members with low Monthly Salary Credits receive adequate protection.

SSS establishes benefit floors to prevent extremely low payouts that would not provide meaningful assistance. These minimums are periodically reviewed and adjusted as part of social protection policies.

Members should be aware that even if their contributions are below average, the benefit floor ensures a baseline amount for sickness, maternity, or disability claims.
