SSS – Retirement

Technical Retirement

Technical Retirement occurs automatically at age 65, regardless of employment status. Members no longer need to stop working to qualify, and contributions may continue before filing the claim. Those with at least 120 monthly contributions receive a lifetime pension; those with fewer contributions receive a lump sum. Technical retirement often yields the highest possible pension because it accounts for a full contribution period.
