Para maka-qualify sa SSS maternity benefit, kailangan may at least 3 valid monthly contributions within that period. Social Security System
So mommy, possible kang qualified, pero kailangan makita natin kung may at least 3 hulog ka from July 2025 to June 2026.

So kung may 3 or more posted contributions ka from January to December 2025, possible kang qualified. Kung wala, unfortunately hindi sapat ang contributions outside that period.
Send mo lang mommy yung months na may hulog ka noong 2025, then mache-check natin kung qualified ka at estimate kung magkano ang possible MatBen.

Ilagay mo lang EDD mo, Maternity type at EDD, tsaka mga contributions mo under qualifying period.

Hi po 😊 Since Sea-Based OFW/Seafarer kayo, ang manning agency is treated as your employer and sila ang responsible sa SSS contributions during the months you are under employment/contract. Social Security System
For the missing October 2025 and April 2026:
– If under active contract/employment kayo during those months, ask your manning agency/HR to check and correct/remit the missing contributions.
– If vacation/off-contract na kayo during those months, puwede sana kayong nag-continue as Voluntary at that time. Pero ngayong past due na, hindi na puwedeng bayaran retroactively as Voluntary just to fill those gaps. Social Security System
So hindi po advisable na basta mag-generate ngayon ng Voluntary PRN for October 2025 or April 2026. First check whether those months were covered by an active seafarer contract.

Since September 2026 pa ngayon, puwede mong unahin ang July, August at September 2026 ✅ para maabot ang minimum 3 months, then puwede mong ituloy hanggang December para potentially mas mataas ang MatBen. Make sure lang na properly paid at posted ang contributions before January 2027. Social Security System
⚠️ If first time mo pa lang mag-Voluntary, kailangan may previous valid SSS coverage/contribution ka as Employee, Self-Employed, or OFW. Hindi puwedeng Voluntary ang very first SSS contribution. Social Security System

Hi mommy 😊 Kung EDD mo is May 2027 and nakapaghulog ka na ng July–December 2026, hindi mo na kailangan hulugan ang January–March 2027 para lang sa current MatBen computation.
For EDD May 2027, ang qualifying period mo is January–December 2026. So July–December 2026 ✅ counted, while January–March 2027 ❌ hindi na kasama sa qualifying period for this pregnancy. Social Security System

If 6 months ang hulog mo from July–December and mataas enough ang MSC mo, puwede na silang gamitin sa MatBen computation. You can still continue paying January–March 2027 for your regular SSS coverage, pero hindi na sila makakadagdag sa maternity benefit for this pregnancy. Social Security System

Note: We usually recommend to continue lang ang hulog/contributions kasi hindi lang naman SSS Matben and benefits na pwede mo ma avail sa SSS, You may continue contributing po for future benefits.

So kung ang hulog mo ay December 2024–May 2025, only April at May 2025 ✅ ang counted — 2 months lang, so kailangan may at least 1 more contribution from June 2025–March 2026 para maka-qualify.
Pero kung ang ibig mong sabihin ay December 2025–May 2026, counted ang December 2025–March 2026 ✅, so may 4 qualifying months ka at possible kang qualified. Yung April–May 2026 hindi na kasama sa qualifying period.
Yung pag-file mo ng MAT-1 noong March 2026 is good, pero qualification still depends sa posted contributions. Social Security System

Hi mommy 😊 If this is for a miscarriage/ETP claim, SSS usually needs more than just a film and Medical Certificate. The ultrasound image/film alone may be rejected if there’s no written report signed by a physician. Social Security System
For proof of pregnancy, you can submit any one of these:
– Pregnancy test result signed by a physician/municipal health officer
– Ultrasound with written report signed by a physician
– Blood pregnancy test (Beta HCG)
– Early Pregnancy Factor test Social Security System
For proof of miscarriage/termination, SSS can accept a physician-signed:
– pregnancy test result
– ultrasound result
– Histopathology report
– Operating Room Record (ORR) Social Security System
And you also need one medical document such as a Medical Certificate, Records of Consultation, or Clinical Abstract/Discharge Summary, signed by your doctor. Make sure the doctor’s name and PRC license number are visible. Social Security System
So mommy, if wala ka talagang ultrasound written report, I would ask the clinic/hospital for your Beta HCG result, Records of Consultation, Clinical Abstract/Discharge Summary, ORR, or Histopathology report, whichever exists. These are stronger supporting documents than the film alone.
