Hi mommy 😊 Hindi po automatic na ₱25,666 ang makukuha dahil CS or “2nd claim.” For live childbirth, normal man or CS, 105 days ang SSS maternity benefit. Ang amount ay depende sa 6 highest Monthly Salary Credits (MSC) mo within your qualifying period.

Kung ₱25,666 ang sinabi ng employer, ask HR kung iyon ba ang SSS maternity benefit computation, salary differential, or partial/advance payment lang.

Also mommy, kung wala ka namang previous maternity claim, hindi dapat dahil “2nd claim” kaya ₱25,666 lang. May special deduction lang kapag may overlapping maternity claims.

Kung hindi pa posted sa My.SSS, puwede ring nasa employer processing/reimbursement stage pa. For employed members, employer normally advances the maternity benefit, then sila ang nagre-reimburse sa SSS.

Send mo lang mommy ang actual delivery date/EDD at contributions mo during the qualifying period, then pwede nating estimate kung tama ba yung ₱25,666.

Hi mommy 😊 Yes po, hindi pa late ang July 2026 contribution.

For EDD May 2027, ang 12-month qualifying period mo ay January–December 2026. So July 2026 ✅ qualifying month siya.

Since Self-Employed ka, SSS currently states that the contribution deadline is the last day of the month following the applicable month. So ang July 2026 contribution can still be paid on or before August 31, 2026.

Kung valid at posted din ang August–December 2026 contributions mo, more than enough na iyon for the minimum 3-contribution requirement. ✅

Important lang mommy: January 2027 na ang start ng Semester of Contingency, kaya contributions paid within or after January 2027 will no longer be considered for this May 2027 MatBen.

So yes po, habulin mo ang July ngayon—hindi pa siya late.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD January 2027, ang 12-month qualifying period mo ay October 2025–September 2026. Kailangan ng at least 3 qualifying monthly contributions within that period.

Since March 2022 pa ang last hulog mo, ito ang important:

Kung currently employed ka: hindi ikaw ang personal na maghuhulog as Employee. Employer mo ang dapat mag-remit ng SSS contribution starting from your first month of employment.

Kung hindi ka na employed pero “Employee” pa rin ang status sa My.SSS: puwede kang mag-change to Voluntary by generating a PRN and choosing “Voluntary Member.” Pero hindi puwedeng habulin ang mga old missed months dahil considered gaps na ang retroactive payments.

So mommy, kailangan mong magkaroon ng at least 3 valid contributions within October 2025–September 2026 para maka-qualify. Since malapit na ang end ng qualifying period, check agad kung may employer contributions kang puwedeng ma-post or kung eligible kang mag-continue as Voluntary.

Hi mommy 😊 Yes po, may chance pa kayong maka-qualify kahit March 2022 pa ang last contribution ninyo.

For EDD January 2027, ang 12-month qualifying period ay October 2025–September 2026. Kailangan ng at least 3 monthly contributions within this period, at dapat paid before October 2026, dahil doon na magsisimula ang Semester of Contingency.

Since Voluntary member kayo, hindi na puwedeng habulin ang old missed months like October 2025–June 2026 dahil considered gaps na ang past-due contributions.

Pero mommy, July, August at September 2026 ✅ ang puwede ninyong target ngayon. Kapag nabayaran at properly posted ang 3 months na ito before October 2026, possible na maabot ninyo ang minimum requirement na 3 contributions. SSS allows current-quarter contributions to be paid within the applicable period, pero for maternity, kailangan silang paid before the semester of contingency starts.

So ang priority mo ngayon: generate PRN as Voluntary and bayaran ang July, August at September 2026 before October.

Hi mommy 😊 Since actual delivery date mo ay February 2, 2025, iyon po ang gagamitin sa computation, hindi na ang January 31 EDD.

Ang qualifying period mo ay October 2023–September 2024. Kailangan po ng at least 3 monthly contributions within that period para maka-qualify.

Kung ang hulog mo lang talaga ay:

August 2024 ✅ counted
September 2024 ✅ counted
October 2024 ❌ hindi na counted, dahil October 2024–March 2025 na ang Semester of Contingency.

So kung August at September lang ang valid qualifying contributions mo, 2 months lang iyon at unfortunately kulang sa minimum na 3 contributions, kaya hindi ka qualified sa MatBen for this delivery.

Pero mommy, check mo muna ang My.SSS contribution history mo. Kung may kahit isang additional posted contribution from October 2023–July 2024, possible na umabot ka sa required 3 months.

Hi mommy 😊 Gets ko po bakit frustrating yung ₱57,676.78, especially kung malalaki naman ang contributions mo.

Based sa actual delivery date na July 23, 2026, ang qualifying period mo ay April 2025–March 2026. Sa contributions na pinakita mo, mukhang may several months ka na mataas enough para maabot ang ₱20,000 MSC ceiling, so possible sana ang ₱70,000 if at least 6 qualifying months are valid and counted.

Yung ₱57,676.78, possible na may excluded months dahil sa payment date, may loan deduction, or ibang adjustment sa claim. Since hindi natin ma-access ang SSS internal system, best po na ipa-check sa SSS kung anong 6 MSC months ang ginamit nila sa computation at bakit may difference na around ₱12,323.

Yung rejected Live Birth document naman, once registered na sa Local Civil Registry, puwede mo pong i-resubmit ang claim.

So mommy, huwag muna natin i-assume na final talaga ang ₱57,676.78. Ipa-explain muna sa SSS yung exact computation bago ka mag-accept.

Hi mommy 😊 Yes po, possible ang ₱70,000 maternity benefit for EDD March 2027, pero ang mahalaga ay ang contributions within your qualifying period only.

Ang 12-month qualifying period mo ay October 2025–September 2026. SSS uses the 6 highest Monthly Salary Credits (MSC) within this period.

Kung mayroon kang at least 6 valid/posted months na ₱3,000 contribution, equivalent to ₱20,000 MSC, possible ang maximum:

₱20,000 × 6 = ₱120,000
₱120,000 ÷ 180 × 105 days = ₱70,000 MatBen.

So kung talagang paid/posted na ang October 2025–September 2026 at at least 6 months doon ay nasa ₱20,000 MSC, possible na po ang ₱70,000. ✅

October 2026–March 2027 ❌ hindi na makakadagdag sa maternity benefit na ito, dahil nasa Semester of Contingency na. Maaari ka pa ring maghulog for continuous SSS coverage, pero hindi na iyon kasama sa March 2027 MatBen computation.

Important mommy: kung ang October 2025–June 2026 months ay hindi talaga nabayaran dati, hindi na sila puwedeng habulin retroactively as a Voluntary member.

Hi mommy 😊 Depende po sa member type at kung kailan yung missed months.

Kung Voluntary / Self-Employed / Non-Working Spouse ka, hindi puwedeng basta habulin ang mga buwan na past due na. SSS treats those as payment gaps, at hindi allowed ang retroactive payment para punan sila.

Kung hindi pa past due ang months, puwede mo pa silang bayaran within the allowed SSS payment deadline.

For maternity benefit, important din na ang contributions ay paid before the Semester of Contingency; contributions paid within or after that semester are not considered sa MatBen computation.

Send mo lang mommy ang EDD, member type, at exact months na hindi mo nahulugan, then masasabi ko kung alin ang pwede pang bayaran ✅ at alin ang past due na ❌.

Mommy, MAT-1 dapat sana na-file before manganak, pero kung nakapanganak ka na noong May 24, 2026 at hindi ka naka-file ng MAT-1, subukan mo pa rin mag-file ng Maternity Benefit Application / MAT-2 sa My.SSS or magpa-check sa SSS branch.

For May 24, 2026 delivery, ang qualifying period mo is January 2025 to December 2025. Kailangan may at least 3 paid contributions sa period na ’yan para may chance sa benefit. SSS says kailangan may 3 contributions before the semester of childbirth, and required din ang maternity notification depending on member type.

Simple answer:
Yes mommy, try mo pa rin mag-file ng MAT-2/Maternity Benefit Application, pero may risk na ma-pending or ma-deny dahil walang MAT-1. Final decision pa rin po si SSS.

Prepare mo rin ang baby’s Certificate of Live Birth. Since May 24, 2026 ka nanganak, within 6 months pa, SSS accepts registered LCR birth certificate with OR/acknowledgement receipt for filing within 6 months.

Hi mommy 😊 Yes po, okay lang na hindi na hulugan ang February at March 2026 kung mayroon ka nang at least 3 valid contributions within April 2025–January 2026. For EDD September 2026, tama po na ang qualifying period mo ay April 2025–March 2026. SSS requires at least 3 monthly contributions within that 12-month period.

So kung halimbawa may hulog ka na ng November 2025, December 2025 at January 2026, qualified ka na sa minimum contribution requirement kahit hindi mo na mabayaran ang February at March. ✅

Pero mommy, tandaan na ang amount ng maternity benefit ay based sa 6 highest Monthly Salary Credits within your qualifying period. Kaya kung less than 6 months lang ang contributions mo, maaaring mas mababa ang benefit kaysa kung nakumpleto mo ang mas maraming qualifying months.

Kung Philhealth member karin po, you can check as well yung Philmatben po this is more on hospital bill deductions unlike SSS na cash benefit ang makukuha mo. Kay Philhealth po kung updated or may contributions ka pwede karin ma qualify sa Philhealth matben, basta sa mga accredited hospital or lying in ka ni Philhealth manganganak. Pwede ka mag inquire sa hospita or sa lying in na pag aanakan mo kung anu po mga requirements nila para ma avail ang philhealth matben or hospital bill deduction if philhealth member.
