Hi mommy 😊 Since resigned ka na sa previous employer, puwede ka pa ring mag-file ng SSS maternity claim as a member separated from employment, provided qualified ka based on your contributions. The current SSS Maternity Benefit Application specifically covers separated employees.

Yung contribution na nabayaran mo before/after resignation is okay as long as valid at pasok sa qualifying period mo. After delivery, you can file the Maternity Benefit Application (MAT-2 equivalent) through My.SSS, and the benefit can be paid directly to your enrolled disbursement account/DAEM instead of going through your previous employer.

If your delivery happens within 6 months from the date you resigned, SSS may require a Certificate of Separation from Employment showing your separation date and confirming that your previous employer did not advance your maternity benefit.

So mommy, hindi nawawala ang maternity claim dahil lang nag-resign ka. Ang important is qualified ang contributions mo, filed ang maternity notification when required, and complete ang documents after delivery.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD April 2027, ang 12-month qualifying period mo ay January–December 2026. Kaya counted ang contributions mo from January to June 2026, at pasok din ang July–December 2026 kung maghuhulog ka as Voluntary.

Since may 6 contributions ka na from January–June, qualified ka na sa minimum 3 contributions. Pero para sa maximum ₱70,000 maternity benefit, ang importante ay magkaroon ka ng 6 highest months na ₱20,000 MSC equivalent to 3,000 contribution per month. SSS computes the benefit using the 6 highest MSCs, example 3,000 contribution under QP x6months.

So mommy, kung ₱3,000 per month ang Jan–Jun contributions mo, hindi mo na kailangan hulugan ang remaining months just to reach ₱70,000. Pero kung mababa ang MSC ng Jan–Jun, puwedeng makatulong ang additional Voluntary contributions from July–December para mapalitan ang lower months sa 6 highest.

✅ July 2026 is not late yet. For Voluntary members, puwedeng monthly or quarterly ang payment. July–September contributions may be paid within the applicable quarterly deadline, on or before end of October 2026. Late retroactive payments after the applicable deadline are not allowed.

Important din mommy: dahil January 2027 na ang start ng Semester of Contingency mo, contributions intended for this maternity claim should be paid before January 2027. Huwag hintayin ang January 2027 payment deadline for October–December kung gusto mong isama sila sa maternity computation.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD December 2026, ang 12-month qualifying period mo ay July 2025–June 2026. Kailangan ng at least 3 monthly contributions within this period para maka-qualify sa SSS maternity benefit.

April 2026 ✅ pasok sa qualifying period, pero since Voluntary member ka, past due na po ito. Ang April–June 2026 quarter could only be paid on or before end of July 2026. As of August 2026, hindi na puwedeng habulin ang April 2026 contribution just to qualify.

Kung wala talaga kayong kahit 3 paid contributions from July 2025–June 2026, unfortunately hindi na kayo makakahabol para sa December 2026 maternity benefit because July 2026 onward is already within the Semester of Contingency, at hindi na counted ang contributions paid within or after that semester.

Yung December 18, 1995 birthday ninyo does not affect the qualifying-period computation, mommy.

Hi mommy 😊 Ang tinatawag dati na MAT-2 ay maternity benefit claim/application after delivery. Ngayon, online na ang filing through My.SSS bilang Maternity Benefit Application (MBA) or employer reimbursement application.

Kung Voluntary / Self-Employed / OFW / NWS / separated or unemployed ka, ikaw mismo ang mag-file sa My.SSS after delivery. Make sure din na may approved DAEM disbursement account ka para doon direktang ma-credit ang benefit.

For live birth, usually kailangan i-upload ang registered Certificate of Live Birth. Kung mag-file within 6 months from delivery, puwedeng LCR-registered birth certificate with corresponding receipt; kung beyond 6 months, PSA-issued certificate ang required.

Kung Employee member ka pa at employed during delivery, employer ang mag-a-advance ng maternity benefit at sila ang mag-file ng reimbursement sa SSS. Kung separated/unemployed ka na, SSS can pay the qualified maternity benefit directly to you.

👉 So mommy: MAT-1/notification muna during pregnancy → after delivery, file the Maternity Benefit Application/MAT-2 equivalent with the required birth or medical documents.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD February 2027, ang 12-month qualifying period mo ay October 2025–September 2026. Kailangan ng at least 3 monthly contributions within this period para maka-qualify sa SSS maternity benefit.

Since January 2023 ka pa employed, mataas ang chance na qualified ka na kung regular na nire-remit at posted ng employer mo ang SSS contributions. Check mo sa My.SSS kung may posted contributions ka from October 2025 to September 2026.

Last QP month: September 2026. Since Employee member ka, employer ang responsible sa tamang remittance ng contributions.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD August 22, 2026, ang 12-month qualifying period mo ay April 2025–March 2026. Kailangan ng at least 3 qualifying monthly contributions within that period.

Sa sinabi mong hulog:

January 2026 ✅
February 2026 ✅
March 2026 ✅ qualifying month
April 2026 ❌ — nasa Semester of Contingency na, kaya hindi na kasama sa computation.

Ang importanteng part ay yung March na nahulog noong April:

Kung Employee member ka: kung naka-post siya sa My.SSS bilang March 2026 contribution at employer ang nag-remit noong April, normal na ang employer deadline ay following month. I-check po na March talaga ang applicable month na naka-post.
Kung Voluntary/Self-Employed/NWS ka: mas critical po ang actual payment date dahil contributions paid within or after the Semester of Contingency may not be considered for maternity qualification.

So kung Employee ka at properly posted ang Jan, Feb at March, may 3 qualifying contributions ka na at possible kang maka-qualify, mommy. ✅

Ang 12-month qualifying period ninyo ay January–December 2026. Kailangan po ng at least 3 monthly contributions within this period para maka-qualify.

Since August 2026 pa ngayon, may qualifying months pa kayong natitira. Important lang na ang contributions na gagamitin ay hindi mabayaran on or after January 2027, dahil January–June 2027 na ang Semester of Contingency.

So halimbawa, kung may valid contributions kayo for September, October, November, and December 2026, puwede po kayong maka-qualify as long as properly paid within the allowed period.

Hi mommy 😊 Yes po, puwede ninyong i-change from Employee to Voluntary since resigned na kayo noong May 2026. Hindi kailangan ng separate form or supporting document para mag-change: kapag gumawa kayo ng PRN sa My.SSS, piliin ang “Voluntary Member” as membership type. Once paid, automatically magbabago ang membership status ninyo to Voluntary.

Hindi rin po ibig sabihin na kailangan dumaan sa previous employer ang maternity benefit ninyo. Since separated from employment na kayo, ang maternity claim/MBA ay puwedeng i-file as an individual member, at SSS ang direktang magbabayad sa approved DAEM account ninyo once approved.

Since nakapag-file na kayo ng MAT-1/Maternity Notification, okay po iyon. Sa benefit filing after delivery, make sure na active at approved ang personal DAEM account ninyo.

⚠️ One important requirement, mommy: kung ang delivery/miscarriage ay within 6 months mula sa May 2026 separation, SSS may require a Certificate of Separation from Employment showing the effective separation date and stating that no maternity benefit advance payment was received from the previous employer.

So yes po: you can switch to Voluntary and have SSS pay the maternity benefit directly to your DAEM, subject to your qualification and required documents.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD March 2027, ang 12-month qualifying period mo ay October 2025 to September 2026. SSS requires at least 3 monthly contributions within this period, and for the maximum ₱70,000 maternity benefit (105 days), kailangan ang 6 highest MSC months mo ay ₱20,000 each.

So ideally, within October 2025–September 2026, mayroon kang at least 6 months na ₱20,000 MSC:

₱20,000 × 6 months = ₱120,000 total MSC
₱120,000 ÷ 180 = ₱666.67/day
₱666.67 × 105 days = ₱70,000 maternity benefit.

If Voluntary/Self-Employed, ang ₱20,000 MSC corresponds to about ₱3,000 regular SSS contribution per month under the 15% contribution rate. If Employee, hindi po kayo basta pipili ng hulog—the contribution is based on your actual monthly compensation and remitted by your employer.

⚠️ Important mommy: September 2026 ang last qualifying month mo. Your Semester of Contingency starts October 2026, and SSS says contributions paid within or after the semester of contingency are not considered in the maternity computation.

So para maabot ang ₱70,000, hindi sapat na magkaroon lang ng 3 contributions—you need 6 qualifying months at the ₱20,000 MSC level.
