SSS – Beneficiaries

Illegitimate Child Benefits

Illegitimate Child Benefits refer to the pension share granted to children born outside of marriage under SSS survivorship or disability programs. Illegitimate children are legally recognized dependents but receive half the pension share granted to legitimate or legally adopted children.

To qualify, the child must be acknowledged through birth certificates, affidavits, or other legal documents proving paternity or maternity. They must also meet standard dependency conditions: unmarried, unemployed, and below age 21 unless disabled.

This structure ensures that all children of the member receive fair support regardless of legitimacy.
