SSS Maternity Questions & Answers

Usually mommy, makukuha mo ang SSS maternity benefit after ma-file at ma-approve ang maternity claim/MAT-2.

Kung employed ka, usually si employer/HR ang mag-aadvance or mag-aasikaso, then SSS reimburses them.
Kung voluntary/SE/OFW/separated, diretso sa approved disbursement account mo once approved.

Practical estimate: around 1–4 weeks, depende kung complete ang documents, approved ang bank/e-wallet, at walang correction sa claim. Some cases receive payout around 3–10 business days after approval, but it is not guaranteed.

Qualifying Period Apr 2025 - Mar 2026

For EDD August 4, 2026, ang qualifying period mo is April 2025 to March 2026. Since may hulog ka from May–December 2025, pasok po yan, basta posted sa SSS. Need at least 3 contributions within QP.

Hindi mo na kailangang mag-voluntary para lang ma-qualify, pero pwede ka mag-voluntary kung gusto mong ituloy ang SSS contributions mo for future benefits.

Since resigned ka na, after manganak, prepare ka rin ng Certificate of Separation with effective date and no advance maternity payment from previous employer, kasi separated ka before delivery.

Hi Mi, Kung New member ka at ngayon ka palang nagpa member (current month:June) pwde mo ma pay contribution mo ngayong June, then yung July - Sept if quarterly payment pay mo xa on or before end of Sept. Quarterly Payment meaning you generate 1 PRN for July to Sept then pay mo isang bagsakan bago mag end ang sept of much better pay as early as possible.

Hi mi usually si SSS they calculate your top 6highest contribution, your qualifying period is July 2025 to June 2026 meron kapo mi QP na pwede hulugan if dikapa naka hulog ng April, May, June pwede mo pa xa ihabol generate ka 1 PRN since ngayon is June 18 palang pwede mo xa i pay on or before end of June or much better as early as possible.

Hi Mommy, yes po qualified ka basta hindi late payment. Yung July to sept mo if quarterly ka nag babayad pay mo xa on or before end of Sept or much better as early as possible. if monthly naman ang due ng july contribution is on or before end of Aug. then Aug contribution due nya is on or before end of Sept. then Sept due nya on or before end of Sept din as your last month of your qualifying period. Wag mo xa babayaran ng Oct kasi outside QP na xa if binayaran mo xa ng Oct consider late payment na yon.

For EDD January 2027, ang qualifying period mo is October 2025 to September 2026. Counted ang April–June 2026, at counted din ang July–September 2026 kung itutuloy mo at posted sa SSS. Need at least 3 posted contributions within that period.

Kung ₱1,050 total contribution per month yan and tuloy hanggang September, rough estimate is around ₱24,500 for CS/105 days.

CS is same as normal delivery sa SSS maternity: 105 days, not automatically ₱70k. Yung ₱70k possible lang kung mataas/max ang 6 highest MSC.

Hi Mi, kung employed ka dapat employed status sa SSS pero sabi nyo po under Government kayo nag wowork baka para sa GSIS po dinideduct nya. If SSS po voluntary category kayo po mag huhulog nyan, and as for SSS po kung planning to conceive palang kayo yes po you can start contribute napo sa SSS if gusto mo mas malaki benefit ma avail sa SSS pwede mo din lakihan contribution mo. Max matben po is 70k from SSS, they calculate the top 6 highest contribution so kung example may 6mons ka na may hulog under qualifying period mo (provided no late payment) na tig 3k per month (based on 2026 MSC) ma kukuha mo yung max matben.

For EDD January 2027, ang qualifying period mo is October 2025 to September 2026. Since last hulog mo is 2023, hindi na po iyon counted. Need mo ng at least 3 posted contributions within Oct 2025–Sept 2026 para ma-qualify.
Kung voluntary ka na ngayon, pwede kang gumawa ng PRN sa My.SSS at maghulog sa months na kaya pang bayaran, like April–June 2026, then continue July–September 2026 para mas okay.
Sa name naman, mas safe na magmatch ang name sa SSS, valid ID, bank/e-wallet, at documents. If married name na sa SSS pero maiden name pa sa ibang docs, magdala/prepare ng Marriage Certificate para iwas delay. SSS says member data changes should be reported using E-4 with supporting documents.
