Voluntary Qualifying Period EDD: March 2027
Question from Maria
Asked Jul 1, 2026

Open direct answer
Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team: Answered Jul 2, 2026

Yes mommy, pwede po 😊

For EDD March 2027, ang qualifying period mo is October 2025 to September 2026, so counted ang April–June 2026.

Voluntary Qualifying Period EDD: December 2026
Question from angge
Asked Jul 1, 2026

Open direct answer
Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team: Answered Jul 2, 2026

If maximum ang hulog mo sa 6 highest months, possible up to ₱70,000 for normal/CS delivery, or ₱80,000 if qualified solo parent.

Check mo estimate dito mommy:

Voluntary Solo Parent / 120 Days
Question from Jo
Asked Jul 1, 2026

I am not married but the father of my child acknowledges my baby. Do I qualify for Solo Parent?

Open direct answer
Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team: Answered Jul 2, 2026

Not automatic mommy 😊

Kahit hindi married, hindi agad ibig sabihin qualified as solo parent. Usually kailangan ikaw ang may sole care and support sa baby, at hindi kayo co-parenting or magkasama ng father.

If father only acknowledges the baby pero ikaw talaga ang mag-isa sa pag-aalaga at support, possible qualified. Best mag-apply/check sa City/Municipal Social Welfare Office for Solo Parent ID.

For SSS maternity, solo parent may get 120 days instead of 105 days if may valid Solo Parent ID/certification.

Voluntary Employer / Resigned / Separated
Question from Rose
Asked Jul 1, 2026

Ako po ung nag ask regarding na lay off and june 30 ang last day. Ask ko lang po sana if do i need to change my status sa sss from employed to separated member or automatic na po yan? Since magfa file din po ako ng unemployment benefit so that means na process na po sa employer ko na unemployed na ako and automatic separated member na ung stat ko? Or do i need to go to sss and update it myself as separated member?

Open direct answer
Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team: Answered Jul 2, 2026

Hi mommy, No need to manually ā€œchange statusā€ just for MATBEN, but you need documents proving separated ka and no advance payment was given. Don’t rely only on unemployment filing as proof. Keep screenshots and documents.

For your MATBEN, pwede mo to gawin:

1. Ask HR to give Certificate of Separation with effective date June 30 and No Advance Maternity Benefit / No cash advance paid.
2. Make sure may approved DAEM/bank account sa My.SSS under your name.
3. After manganak, file MAT-2 / Maternity Benefit Application as separated member. SSS has a maternity benefit application specifically for self-employed/voluntary/OFW/NWS/separated members.
4. If hindi ka makakuha ng certificate, SSS has an Affidavit of Undertaking option for members who cannot secure certificate of separation/non-advance payment.

Voluntary Employer / Resigned / Separated
Question from Alessandra
Asked Jul 1, 2026

Okay lang ba na from employed to voluntary Ang hulogan ko sa sss kase yung qualifying period ko is from April 2025 to March 2026 pero hangang November lang ako nag work and hinulogan nang agency ko yan and from January 2026 to May 2026 voluntary na ako nag hulog pasok parin ba yung calculation niyo

Open direct answer
Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team: Answered Jul 2, 2026

Yes mommy, pasok pa rin sa calculation 😊

Okay lang na from employed to voluntary ang hulog. Hindi nawawala yung hulog mo under agency/employer, basta posted sa SSS.

Since QP mo is April 2025 to March 2026:

April–November 2025 from agency = counted
January–March 2026 voluntary = counted

SSS says maternity benefit uses contributions within the 12-month period before the semester of childbirth.

Due date safe note: last QP month is March 2026, so dapat paid/posted on or before end of March 2026 para safe.

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD November 2026, ang QP mo is July 2025 to June 2026, so counted lahat ng listed months mo basta posted at paid before the due date.

If yung amounts mo are total SSS contribution, rough estimate mo is around:

₱63,000–₱64,000 for normal/CS delivery.

Hindi pa siya full ₱70,000 kasi mukhang April–June 2026 lang ang max/highest, then the other top months are lower. SSS uses the 6 highest MSCs in your QP for computation.

If solo parent, possible around ₱73,000.

Voluntary Contribution / Payment Deadline EDD: September 2026
Question from Kris
Asked Jun 30, 2026

Hindi na po active yung sss ko since may 2025 if mag huhulog po ako pwedi paba ako makapag apply sa matben2 ?EdD ko is september 27

Open direct answer
Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team: Answered Jun 30, 2026

Hi mommy 😊 For EDD Sept. 27, 2026, ang qualifying period mo is:

April 2025 to March 2026

Kung last active/hulog mo is May 2025, makaka-claim ka lang if may at least 3 posted contributions within April 2025–March 2026.

Kung ngayon ka pa maghuhulog, June 2026 onwards hindi na counted for September EDD, kasi SSS counts only contributions paid before the semester of delivery.

Due date safe note: last counted month is March 2026, so dapat paid/posted on or before end of March 2026 para safe.

Voluntary Employer / Resigned / Separated EDD: October 2026
Question from kriss
Asked Jun 30, 2026

EDD KO OCTOBER 2026 MAY POSSIBLE PO MAKAKUHA AKO MAY HULOG AKO FROM MY PREVIOUS WORK SINCE AUGUST2025 TO FEB 2026 THEN NAGHULOG AKO FROM APRIL, MAY, JUNE, SANA MASAGOT TY.TAS NAG FILE AKO SA MAT1 Hindi ko po nailagay dun yung allocated days and name of father makaka apekto po ba sa pag file ko ng maternity ko?

Open direct answer
Answer from SSS Maternity Calculator Team: Answered Jun 30, 2026

Hi mommy 😊 Yes, qualified ka possible.

For October 2026 EDD, ang qualifying period mo is July 2025 to June 2026. Counted ang hulog mo from August 2025 to February 2026, plus April, May, June 2026, basta paid on time at posted sa SSS.
